WIDER HORIZONS - Canada Choices 2012

Are you:

• 18-28 years old?
• Unemployed?
• Would like to take part in a training programme which includes 6 weeks work experience in Canada?

We are now recruiting for our Wider Horizons - Canada Choices 2012 programme.  An 18 week programme targeted at youny adults looking for a new direction. The 18 week programme includes 10 weeks pre-departure training, 6 weeks placement in Canada and 2 weeks job search & evaluation.  All travel and accommodation costs are covered as part of the programme and candidates recieve a training allowance.  Opportunities are available in retail, hospitality, warehousing, construction and administration areas.

This is a cross-border/cross-community programme funded by IFI, DEL and FAS.  There are limited places so early application is essential.  Closing date for return of application forms:  Friday 17th February 2012 at 12:00 noon.

IFI Wider Horizons Canada Choices 2011

Congratulations to all our Wider Horizons Canada Choices 2011 candidates who completed their training on Friday 8th July.  These trainees took part in a mutual understanding, personal development and retail training programme funded by International Fund for Ireland, DEL and FAS.  As part of the programme they spent 6 weeks in London, Ontario, Canada, working with a variety of employers including The Bay, Chapters, Home Depot, UPS, Pier One Imports, Rona, London Flooring, ToysRUs and National Sports. 

A special word of thanks to our supervisors, Barry Cruickshank and Johnny Connolly - a dedicated team who give 100% to every programme and our overseas host, Pulzoni Associate, who delivers great placement opportunities time and again.

We look forward to running another programme in 2012!
