Austins "Household", specialising
in bedding and linens has enjoyed continued success throughout
the last 100 years. Indeed the company owes its origins
to Household and Drapery, the very business that Thomas
Austin began on the site of today's store away back in
1830! Just about everything for the bedroom and bathroom
(excluding furniture) can be found on Austins Household
floor. The leading brand names include Dorma, Coloroll,
Cathy Kidston, Lulu Guinness, Christy towels and Ditton Hill. Irish Linen
is also available from Austins Household with Ferguson's
Irish Linen the most well know brand. Exports of our Irish
Linen to the U.S.A. is a substantial part of our "tourist"
business!
Our Household business is very well known and highly
regarded throughout Ireland as featured in a recent
edition of the hugely popular "25 Beautiful Homes"
magazine (28/05/04 edition).
